RbMan2 .. Open Source Resource Bundle Editing in Flex
It's a great day when you can give back to the community and it's my pleasure to announce the first open source release of RbMan 2..
RbMan has been redesigned to use a Flex front end and a coldfusion/database back end.
RbMan2 is designed to run in two different modes. It can run as a web based resource bundle editor
or as an integrated resource editor and resource bundle API in your existing applications.
As a stand alone editor it can be used as a web based resource editing tool to create a central repository
for geographically distributed translators. The resource bundles you create can then be exported for use in
your applications as java properties files or utf-8 encoded resource bundles.
As an integrated editor it is ideal for managing resources in a clustered environment. i.e. when you
have two or more web servers sharing the same bundles. It can happily run along side your existing apps
with bundles being read from the database backend through the rbman2.model.rbman.bundleManager API.

This looks great.
Btw - it's been a while since my last visit. I love the new look.
Hi.
This is great. I can't tell how many problems we've had with IBM RBManager, and this sounds like a potential solution to swap out RBManager in our localization tasks.
Thanks for sharing the code.
Cheers Erki,
let me know if you have any questions. :)
Thanks too Trond.. This is a much more robust solution than previous versions.
Is RbMan2 still available
Is RbMan2 still available anywhere? The link doesn't work now.
Hi Borek
Sorry I didn't go through and update all my old blog posts when I moved it. RbMan is available on riaforge at the following URL: http://rbman.riaforge.com/
That's great, thank you.
