CFer's party down under

I just received an email from long time CFer Barry Beatie telling me about upcoming plans to party like there's no tomorrow for the launch of CF 8. That may be exaggerating a bit, but there are plans to gather at various locations across Australia / New Zealand to celebrate. (More details below.) There are also plans for cross Tasman Connect (Breeze) session to accommodate all of those out of town CFer's like myself. I'm not sure if this has been finalised yet. I think the ANZ crew are still waiting for some feedback from Adobe on this one...

Coldfusion usergroups Ushering in the new Coldfusion 8

-------------------------------------------------------

With the launch of the eighth release of Coldfusion, Adobe user groups
around the world will be holding special celebrations to mark the
occasion.

[**[info here about what CF 8 is and what this release has in it]**]

August 8th will see the Australia and New Zealand Coldfusion User
Groups ("CFUG's" to their members) holding a "follow the moon" launch
party for their local members, linking up each CFUG using Adobe's
Connect video conferencing software.

Robin Hilliard, the ANZ User Group Cooirinator, will be the Master of
Ceremonies for the event and will hand the "party" over to user groups
in the Asia-Pacific region to continue around the world.

Coldfusion users, businesses and partners are invited to join in the
celebrations at their local Coldfusion User Group. It starts in New
Zealand (GMT +12) at 6:30 local (NZ) time, followed by the East Coast
of Australia two hours later.
