Today is ANZAC day in Australia. It's the day when we remember all of the men and women that have served with Australian and New Zealand armed forces since the battle at Gallipoli in 1915. I would especially like to make mention of and remember my grandfather Sydney Thomas Freear who served in WW2 with the Royal Air Force in the campains over North Africa, Tobrook, Italy, Sardinia and Corsica.

Papa was a tail gunner who fought along side the Australian and American forces of the 8th Army.
