Just installed ubuntu 11.10 on my home media center. So far it's much improved from 11.04. There's a heap of nice new features and it just seems a lot more polished.

Every now and then I get my hands dirty with a bit of shell scripting. Using bash, it's possible to do some quite powerful things in relation to system administration.

I just watched the SpringOne keynote presented by Rod Johnson and thought I'd share the link.

Aside from putting together a good software design, I also like to do a bit of cooking. I find it enjoyable and relaxing and a good context change from being on the computer all the time.
